The mortgage lender will order an appraisal of your home to make sure they are not paying more than the house is worth. They may also order a surveyor to make sure that the property boundaries are properly laid out. They will also order a title search to determine if there are any liens against your property. These tasks are all the responsibility of the buyer and/or their attorney.


This is what im finding out to be very true , i just had a agent who was yelling at me on the phone and then hung up .

Do I need an agent to go ahead and buy that “for sale by owner” home?” Not only are agents not needed to buy a home, involving one during a FSBO transaction could actually hinder the buying process, as the agent would want the seller and/or the buyer to commit to paying an expensive commission fee.  

If you have a agent and they tell you we will not work with them or the home is under contract , what they are saying is we wont pay them . We are taking a huge lost with price decrease in today's market . Therefor we will not pay for a buyers agent  a 3%  or a finders fee . So funny we had a few people find the home , came and look at it without there agent . Went back to there agent , the agent called me and ask for 3% or finders fee . Now why would anyone give that large amount of money for ???? What did they do for it and what can they do for it ??

I really hope people who are looking get smart as to what is going on with there agents .
